iTunes : Download Movie Trailers with non-US iTunes account

We are all know that we cannot access music, movie, TV series - not even for free podcasts - via Indonesian iTunes Store. Only AppStore.

But at least we can access Movie Trailer page in Indonesian iTunes Store. You cannot access that page directly in the iTunes (the iTunes only gives you AppStore in its store).



Here's the trick. Go to http://www.apple.com/trailers
Click the link "Trailers in iTunes". It'll launch the iTunes and Movie Trailers page. There you can select any movie and download the trailers.



Just don't try to click any link in "iTunes STORE" box, it'll give you a warning box saying "The item you've requested is not currently available bla bla bla"

D'oh!

AppStore : Update Not Update

Hari ini, ngecek AppStore di iPhone, terdapat 2 update untuk aplikasi yang ada di iPhone gue : NetNewsWire dan SplashMoney. Langsung klik update di masing-masing aplikasi dan loading.



Lucunya, di iTunes ngga ada kabar apa-apa tentang update 2 aplikasi ini. Hanya ada satu keterangan kecil di Application sidebar di iTunes : 1 update available.



Saat diklik, muncul layar ini di iTunes Store.



Penasaran, iPhone gue sync dengan iTunes. Dengan harapan aplikasi NetNewsWire dan SplashMoney yang sudah terupdate di iPhone akan otomatis sync dengan versi lama di iTunes. Setelah tekan tombol sync, iTunes baru ngeh bahwa aplikasi yang ada di iPhone tidak ada di iTunes Library.



Jadi, 2 aplikasi yang terupdate di iPhone, dianggap aplikasi baru dan iTunes melakukan "transferring purchasing" walau aplikasi lama masih ngejogrok di iTunes Library.



Setelah proses lengkap, aplikasi baru me-replace aplikasi lama. *phew* Kirain di iTunes bakal nongol 2 aplikasi dengan versi berbeda :P

Perilaku "update ngga update" iTunes ini bukan sekali ini saja. Walau tertera keterangan "updates available", setiap diklik bolak balik disangkal "No updates available. Check again later". Yho wis, akhirnya lebih sreg update aplikasi di AppStore iPhone saja.
